Acumium is an internet-focused company helping businesses grow online through strategic website consulting, online marketing and full-service website design and development. Acumium lead Emergency Medical Products (EMP) and School Kids Healthcare, both existing clients, through a website redesign using the GravityMarket™ responsive eCommerce platform.
EMP provides emergency medical supplies and equipment to fire fighters and EMS professionals. School Kids Healthcare is a “sister site” that supplies medical products and equipment to school nurses, colleges, hospitals and businesses.
In order to provide the best experience for their customers, EMP and School Kids Healthcare made the decision to update their website to be mobile and tablet friendly. Both sites were already using Acumium’s eCommerce platform, but they relaunched to incorporate responsive design and all the latest platform features, including a new loyalty program. The GravityMarket™ platform is a Software as a Service (SaaS) based offering.
In the past year, EMP has seen a 55% increase in mobile traffic and 40% increase in tablet traffic, compared to the previous 12 months. School Kids Healthcare’s mobile traffic increased 67% and tablet traffic increased 50%. The new mobile-friendly sites are optimized to better convert these shoppers.
“Due to the nature of their jobs, many of our customers are constantly on the go and need the ability to shop from any location,” says Mike Buerger, General Manager at EMP, “Now site visitors can access the site from their smartphones and easily find information, browse products and purchase.”
Jody Hartwig, Senior Account Executive at Acumium, adds, “Moving to SaaS allows EMP and School Kids Healthcare to receive frequent updates based on continuous platform improvements. Responsive design provides an optimized shopping experience for visitors accessing the sites on desktop, tablet or mobile devices.”
