Acumium Awarded Best Places to Work Two Years in a Row

Madison Magazine Names Acumium Best Places to Work in 2015

We are delighted and proud to announce that for a second year in a row, Acumium has been awarded Best Places to Work in Madison by Madison Magazine. It is true that we have nerf guns at our desks, daily ping pong games, beer in the fridge, regular staff meals and frequent happy hours. And although those perks make our office fun, we like to think it’s our values that make Acumium a great place to work.

At Acumium we have ten core values that have helped us create a true team mentality. Our team is not only encouraged to continuously challenge ourselves, but to seek new ways of accomplishing those challenges. Whether that is collaborating with your neighbor, obtaining new skills or completely starting a new process from scratch, Acumium’s culture is all about producing great work and elevating ourselves to the next level. This culture creates an environment where we become invested in our work and semi-obsessed with our clients’ success. We take great personal pride in seeing our colleagues achieve and helping companies grow.

A huge part of that dedication to our work comes from the strong leadership at Acumium. Every Tuesday at our company stand-up meeting our Founder and CEO, Dan Costello, shares his vision and tells us his door is always open. If you have an issue or an idea to improve how Acumium operates, management listens. This mentality is carried throughout the organization. The knowledge that ideas have merit and employees are valued is what makes Acumium a great place to work, but the beer doesn’t hurt, either.

Any company in Dane County is eligible to compete for Madison Magazine’s annual Best Places to Work Award. Organizations are nominated and then employees are surveyed by Quantum Workplace, a company that has measured 440,000 employees annually since 2004.

Quantum indicates that employee engagement is a key focus and items like teamwork, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, trust with coworkers, retention, alignment with goals, feeling valued, individual contribution, job satisfaction and benefits are measured. Finalists are determined based on highest overall scores in each category.

Acumium came in second place in the small business category and our engagement scores are considered more than 2X of the national average. We proud to hang our hat on this award!
